Briards du Soleil litter planned for Spring, 2010
The first litter of Briards du Soleil has been a long time coming. After delaying breeding Blossom last year, I am so excited that the day is finally in the very near future. Blossom will be bred in March of 2010, so we are expecting a May litter.
Much thought has gone into the perfect sire for Blossom, with help from mentors and long time successful Briard breeders. Udo is undeniably, one of the nicest moving Briards in the U.S. Udo's beautiful front and rear construction provide the proper movement for the function this breed was meant for. This is the movement I have been searching for.
Blossom is a rich red, clear tawny bitch with incredible coat texture. I have been spoiled with the little care her coat requires. She is a moderate sized, typey bitch with wonderful movement and a steady temperament. She is a very biddable herding dog with phenominal herding instinct and drive. Blossom also excels in agility. Blossoms very first herding trial in January, 2010, she went High in trial - both days, with a score of 99 and 90. At her next trial, only one month later, she earned her HSAs title, qualifying both days (one bonus Q, since only 3 are required). Four runs, Four Q's, and Two HITs!!
The union of Blossom and Udo should produce typey puppies with excellent structure and movement, steady temperaments, and performance driven. These puppies are expected to excel in conformation and performance. If interested in a Blossom/Udo puppy for show, performance or companionship, please contact me
