Best of Opposite Sex - BCA supported, North Carolina - August, 2011

Blossom was born on Valentine's Day, 2005. She is a moderate sized girl with beautiful typey conformation, fantastic movement, and a wonderful temperament. She has a gorgeous rich tawny color that she has maintained since birth. Blossom was my third Briard, but brought me so many firsts. My first AKC Champion, owner handled (except for one Major due to back surgery); first herding titled; first litter of puppies; first Grand Champion.

It is Blossom that brought my interest to breeding, and is my foundation bitch. She was just too special not to breed. She is the sweetest girl, independent, funny, and a momma's girl, but all business when it comes to herding. Blossom started her show career at five months old winning Best of Breed and a Group 3 at the AKC sanctioned puppy match at the MOBC Regional Specialty in Canfield, Ohio. In 2006, Blossom received Rassemblement Select - Excellent at the BCA National Specialty in Chicago; and in 2007 she received Rassemblement Select - Excellent at the Canadian Briard Club National Specialty. Blossom finished her AKC Championship with a 5 point major at the ASBC Regional Specialty supported show in Harrisburg, PA in 2007.

In the limited times out as a special, she received an Award of Merit at the MOBC Regional Specialty in 2009, several Best of Breeds and Group placements, Best of Opposite Sex at the BCA supported shows in NC in August, 2011, all owner handled. She earned her Grand Championship with limited showing and 4 GCH Majors.

Blossom is a phenominal herding dog. In January, 2010, Blossom went High in Trial both days her first herding trial with scores of 99 and 90. The following month, her second trial weekend, she received her 3rd leg, and a bonus 4th leg, for her Herding Started A title in sheep.

In May, 2010, Blossom blessed me with the first "du Soleil" litter of five beautiful puppies. Blossom's three daughters, Juice, Scarlet and Zelda, quickly earned their Championships and many other accomplishments; her son Cedar, finished his Championship at two years old with limited showing, and Bruno is a champion companion.

Blossom's second litter of nine puppies (7 girls and 2 boys) was born on April 23, 2012. I expect great things from these beautiful puppies. Fern (Hangin' In The Shade du Soleil), is my keeper from this litter, and Budweiser 'Bud' (Home Brewed du Soleil) I co-own and lives near by. I look forward to showing both of them, and to their many future accomplishments.
